At Latchmans’ Psychological Services your confidentiality is our priority. We offer a space to promote positive mental health; a space for healing, growth and learning. We are dedicated to providing you with evidence based psychological approaches to working with you toward your optimal mental health goals.

We offer counselling/ psychotherapy to aid a person or a couple to overcome their emotional, behavioral and social challenges. We provide Psychometric testing for a variety of purposes and requirements to discover a person’s strengths and challenges in their functioning. Psychometric testing are offered for psychoeducational assessments for children and adults, psychological evaluations, socio-emotional assessments, career assessments, personality assessments and fire arm/ work requirement evaluations. We provide support to companies and organizations through Employee Assistance Programmes, Consultations, Workshops and Critical Incident Stress Debriefings and trainings.

Meet our team

Keshan Latchman holds a Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of the West Indies; a Post Graduate certificate in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology; and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Gender and Development Studies from the University of the West Indies.

He currently practices as a clinical psychologist and has several years of experience as an Employee Assistance and Workplace Support (EAP) counsellor. As a psychologist, he provides counselling for young people (15+), adults, couples, and crisis management/debriefing (Critical Incidence Stress Debriefing) and group sessions. Within this professional remit, Keshan has been utilizing a range of evidence-based psychotherapy treatment for numerous psychological issues such as Trauma, Grief/ Bereavement, Adjustment, Anxiety, Depression, Emotional Dysregulation, Relationship Distress, Parent- Child communication building etc. Additionally, Keshan conducts psychological testing/assessments for children and adults which helps persons better understand their challenges and work towards effective treatment and interventions.

Keshan has also been an advocate for human rights and world peace. From a rights perspectives, Keshan was involved in a number of research projects such as the UNICEF funded Break the Silence: End Child Sexual Abuse research as well as the United Nations funded Sexual Culture and the Implications for HIV research project. In addition, he has represented Trinidad and Tobago at the United Nations Global Youth Forum for the UNiTE Campaign to End Violence against Women and Girls, and subsequently was a representative at the Commission on the Status of Women. Moreover, Keshan is a meditation practitioner. He has practiced meditation for over fifteen years and currently teaches mindfulness meditation for emotional wellness across various platforms.

In this regard, Keshan takes pride in the work he dedicated himself to and actively seek out and promote mindful experiences and meaningful conversation as catalysts for advocating peace and respect internally and within communities.

Roma Latchman MSc, MA, is a Clinical and Counselling Psychologist. She has a special interest and focus on childhood trauma and youth development. Roma is currently pursuing higher education as she reads for a PhD Child, Adolescent and Youth Studies, degree. Individual, family and community development are critical areas where Roma has concentrated her academic and counseling knowledge, experiences and efforts. She has worked on several school and community projects geared towards, violence prevention and sustainable community development. In this capacity Roma works to educate, impact and support communities through the various social injustices they encounter.

As a practicing psychologist she has several years of experience as an external Employee Assistance and Workplace Support (EAP) consultant. From her training and experience, Roma provides a range of psychotherapeutic services inclusive of individual (children, teenagers and adults), couple and group counseling, psychological and psycho-educational assessments as well as community development and corporate workshops. Within her professional capacity, Roma facilitates therapeutic support for a range of clinical and developmental issues such as trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, stress, relationship/marital distress and academic/learning challenges, to name a few. Additionally, Roma provides therapeutic support via online counseling, facilitates online professional/psychological training programmes and acts as a crisis response counselor for hotline calls and Critical Incident and Stress Debriefing (CISD) group sessions. To this extent, mental health is important to Roma and she is committed to working with persons seeking mental health support, along a path that empowers people to live sustainable, authentic and satisfactory lives.
